Soomin Chung

About Me

Hello! 🌿 I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Data Science at New York University (NYU), starting in Fall 2026. I am incredibly fortunate to be co-advised by Prof. Kyunghyun Cho and Prof. Eric Oermann.
Prior to this, I earned my M.S. in Bioengineering from Seoul National University Biomedical Informatics (BMI) Lab, advised by Prof. Kwangsoo Kim.

My research focuses on multimodal and longitudinal modeling for clinical decision support, leveraging biosignals (e.g., ECG, EMG, vital signs) and electronic health records. I am deeply interested in developing clinically meaningful, proactive AI systems for personalized healthcare, specifically through longitudinal patient trajectories, reinforcement learning, and wearable-based continuous monitoring.
