Soomin Chung

About Me

Hello! 🌿 I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Data Science at New York University (NYU). I am incredibly fortunate to be co-advised by Prof. Kyunghyun Cho and Prof. Eric Oermann.
Prior to this, I earned my M.S. in Bioengineering from Seoul National University Biomedical Informatics (BMI) Lab, advised by Prof. Kwangsoo Kim.

My current research focuses on patient trajectory modeling, aiming to build proactive, clinically meaningful AI systems that map dynamic disease progression for personalized intervention. Previously, my work centered on clinical decision support, utilizing multimodal data such as biosignals (e.g., ECG, EMG, vitals) and electronic health records (EHR).
